Recently, the final of the 2023 China Shandong Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition with the theme of "Attracting Talents and Leading the Future" came to a perfect end in Qingdao. Peng Chuantao, founder of Yuanda Biology, won the first place in the competition and won the only gold award in the province's entrepreneurship group.

This competition is jointly organized by the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Shandong Province and the People's Government of Qingdao City,It is a large-scale, high-level, and widely covered postdoctoral innovation and entrepreneurship competition held in Shandong Province. After written review and group competition selection, 129 postdoctoral innovation and entrepreneurship projects stood out from over 1100 registered postdoctoral projects from top universities, research institutes, and enterprises in the province, competing fiercely for only 3 gold awards, 9 silver awards, 18 bronze awards, and 63 outstanding awards.

Peng Chuantao is a PhD candidate in Food Microbiology at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. In 2018, upon returning to China after graduation, he keenly realized that the metagenomic industry would surely have broad development in the future. He immediately devoted himself to the preparation and efficacy evaluation of metagenomic products, and was delighted to discover the beneficial effects of metagenomic products on intestinal and skin health through multiple animal and population experiments.

In 2021, just one month after ISAPP issued a formal statement on the concept of epigenetic elements, Dr. Peng Chuantao, who has been deeply involved in the field of epigenetic elements for six years, decisively chose Qingdao to establish Yuanda Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and formed a high-level epigenetic element targeted research team. Research and industrialization are parallel, and multiple representative patented epigenetic element raw materials developed by the team have been put into production and entered the market, benefiting thousands of consumers and successfully achieving industrial transformation. He has made important breakthroughs in epigenetic element targeted functionality, won multiple honors in the industry, and broken the monopoly of foreign enterprises in epigenetic element technology.
